Apartment Review for Arbor Park - Gainesville, FL

It depends on your situation... The complex is mostly foreign grad students and families, so it's pretty quiet, but there are also a lot of petty drug dealers and weirdos. It's pretty close to the university, but not so close to justify the high price, especially since there are not w/d hookups and the on-site facility is a joke.

If you luck out and get one of the newly remodeled apts, the condidtions aren't SO bad, but the whole place is pretty old. The older units however have really nasty carpet and old appliances, etc. In the late summer/fall, you practially need a mosquito net just to get to your car and their sewage system backs up sometimes and stinks the whole place up.

But the pool is OK (nothing special) and the place is pretty pet-friendly (But watch out for the off-leash pits... they get kinda rowdy, but not mean). The main office lady is a real b**** and the other workers couldn't tell their a** from a hole in the ground, but the other tennants are generally nice ppl.

Pros- across the street from Winn-Dixie & gas station, close to JP gators, steak n shake, guthries, UF, Shands... Mediocre facilities

Cons- A55hole staff, old buildings, high price, crappy amenities
