Apartment Review for Arbor Park - Gainesville, FL

Omg where do i begin, i've lived here for 3 years, still do until August THANK GOD i'm finally moving!! the only reason i still live here is because i needed to save money, i thought this would be the apartment i would spend my entire college life in..NOPE!! They "show" apartment..is exactly that just for SHOW..no other aprtment looks as good, i walked into my apartment on the move in date to 3 large holes in my carpet that a past DOG had torn up..after a month they fixed it..swearing there was never a dog that lived here. I found black hair that was painted into my floor board, disgusting, and those weren't human hairs. The carpet guy who came told me and i quote! "sorry about the smell, im burning the pieces of rug together and the smell you smell is dog urine!" yup DOG URINE!, no joke, they swore to me for 3 months that the carpet was only a year old. the 4th month the past resident came to my door, something about her child was confused as to why they didnt live there anymore, she had her dog with her that once also lived in my apartment, black dog i might add, she had lived here for 2 years before I had, so not only was the management team caught in a lie but 2! i complained and cmplained, but being the little age of 20 they ignored me, finally telling me they would carpet clean my carpet when ever no charge, umm not ok! called the main office and all they did was recieve my message and give it back to my apartment manager in which she yelled at me like i was some child of hers and not a paying resident. 6 months ago a piece of the ceiling fell on my head, it took a week to fix the HOLE in my ceiling! and when i called the management main office they told me they would come look at what THEY were having THEIR residents live in, she never came! shitty patch work was inevitably done on the hole, i never use that bathroom anymore, it smells like sewage water! cabinets DO NOT close in the kitchen, the walls are SO thin I can literally hear the next door neightbors being intimate. Nicely maintained outside although they come every other monday at 9am, right outside my paper this walls, its oh so nice to wake up to a weed-whacker in your bedroom. blinds are permanently broken, pool is always disgusting and a man actually DIED in it this past year. A grown man. This is a community filled with foreigners, nice which is a plus. Since the 3 years i've been here my last year has been the quitest, i think because everyone realized how awful it truly is. Don't make the same mistake I did, its really not worth it. I still reside in this apartment complex, if you ever want me to show you MY apartment instead of their fake show I will in a heart beat, I truly feel pity on whom ever lives here next. Margaret is the manager on this property, and I think she really needs a new job.
