Apartment Review for College Manor Apartments - Gainesville, FL

I moved in here in August 2008. I came to FL from DE so I didn't see the apartment until I the day I moved in. My parents came to help me move and I can still remember their looks of extreme disappointment. The kitchen was gross. The floor hadn't been cleaned and it was especially behind the fridge. It still isn't clean because I can't move it to clean. My stove was covered in a weird yellow greasy substance. My AC unit looks like it dates from the 1970s. I keep my apartment extremely clean but it has become infested with little roaches. I asked that pest control come in and spray but it does nothing. So I went out and bought Raid roach baits and egg stoppers which seem to be working. It's only been about a week and half since I started using them so I hope the roaches will be gone soon. Apparently this is a problem throughout the building. The office staff keeps changing and they act annoyed if you ask them about anything. I've had numerous maintenance issues from the day I've moved in. Every time something goes wrong the problem is covered up, not truly fixed. They also rent to so weird people; like the guy next door me, who is probably a drug dealer. I'm not kidding. The walls are thin. I can hear my other next door neighbor urinating. People often run up and down the halls and scream at the top of their lungs outside. If this still seems like a good idea to move in here, go ahead. But I'm warning you now: you will probably need some sort of anti-anxiety drug to keep your sanity.
