Apartment Review for Fox Hollow Apartments - Gainesville, FL

When we came to the office looking for an apartment everything looked great on the surface. The model unit is the office itself and is very nice. The front part of the complex you can view is quiet. I dare say you might even be okay if you are placed in the front part of the complex. Anything by or past the pool is extremely bad news. We have witnessed constant marijuana and alcohol consumption even during the daytime hours right out in the parking lots. People cuss and yell at each other all hours. Quite a few residents do not have jobs. It is difficult to walk out of your unit to your car without someone (usually someone you don't even know) asking if you have a cigarette, beer, money or if you can give them a ride somewhere. The majority of the kids who live here are not good news either. I have seen older kids hitting younger ones (not even of their family!) over the head with logs and pipes and knocking them off their bikes as they try to ride by. We have had several things stolen off of our porch. When you tell the office these things, they act like they are concerned but you can tell they are not going to go out of their way to improve anything or help you out. If I didn't have a lease here I'd be running out of here as fast as possible, and many other residents have expressed the same sentiment to me. I would hate to see anyone else get stuck here.
