Apartment Review for Frederick Gardens Apartments - Gainesville, FL

I have lived in Frederick Gardens for a few years. I saw a review above that made this place sound like nirvana, but that is not the case -- that reviewer is probably one of the people who makes noise and doesn't realize that other people don't want to hear it. The apartment does have two pools, and one was recently remodeled, and some units have two bedrooms at a decent price. Frederick Gardens is a big complex with two sets of buildings that were built at different times. When you see a model unit, your unit might be very different and you won't know which unit you will get until after you sign the lease. My unit had a new rug but otherwise had a moderate amount of grime in the kitchen and bathroom. The maintenance staff is good about legitimate problems like plumbing, but they aren't going to remodel your unit or scrub your floor. The complex is fairly large and each part has a a slightly different feel. There have been some noisy units and trouble makers, but they usually disappear if people keep complaining to the office (if you don't tell the office, nothing will change).
