Apartment Review for Hampton Oaks - Gainesville, FL

This place by far staff wise is the worst I've ever been to. We decided to look at one of their apartments in The Oaks which is on the other side of the Mall, since they had a few buildings back there that were just recently built and had a lot of newer upgrades. When we got to the apartment we could hardly hear each other for the cars & 18 wheelers whizzing by less than 500 feet away on I-75 and when you get inside the noise level doesn't get much better. The apartment itself was very nice from what we could see since the electricity WASN'T ON for us to see much of anything. After we got done looking at the kitchen based off of the muted daylight we did have, we were able to see a dead roach right next to the refrigerator door. We kept pressing on upstairs to the 1st bedroom & what did we see... another dead roach. We finally made it to the Master bedroom with a walk in closet. There was only one problem the door didn't open far enough to walk in because of the a/c duct that some architectural genius thought would be a good idea to put directly behind it. The master bath was terrific except for... you guessed it another DEAD ROACH. I tried to talk to the apartment manager to request she turn the lights on for us to get a good look at the place since she played off all the dead roaches on the apartment being closed up for a long time. She told me she couldn't do it because it would cost them $40. After I offered to pay the $40 a few days later to take a look at the apartment she had one of her cronies come and tell me that she couldn't do it instead of bringing her lazy @%$# out and addressing my concerns herself. The Oaks & Hampton Oaks can keep their noisy, light absent, roach infested, stray cat & dog facilities to themselves. I don't care how cheap it is!!!!
