Apartment Review for Homestead Apartments - Gainesville, FL

its sad but true... homestead makes plenty of promises but doesnt deliver.... I lived @ homestead for a year and a half when my husband n i split. I asked the ever so rude office staff what i had to do to get out of my lease (obviously i wasnt staying there) and they said just sign a paper and fax it to us n you'll be off the lease... ok easy enough. I did and thought all was well. im now being sued for $4467 because they said i wasnt released from the lease! WTF! are you kidding me?! Theres never any lights on outside at night, making it very scary for those of us with children, the whole place is riddled with drug dealers, and they never send the maintenance guy when you need him. I waited 5 months for my a/c to get fixed and moved before it ever was. The people in the office are bitches, they told my husband a bold face lie that i had come in and thrown my rent payment at them, when i hadnt even been into the office! Bottom line: Dont get sucked in by the prices and deals because it'll cost you more, way more, in the end....
