Apartment Review for Laurels Apartments - Gainesville, FL

I have only lived here three months but found out what an outdated, nasty, grimy, unsafe place this is to live the first 2 weeks I was a resident here!

The MODELS they show you are fixed up pretty good to get you to sign the bottom line, but they WILL NOT allow you access to see YOUR actual Apartment until the day you move in. BEWARE!!! YOU BETTER BE PREPARED!! The carpets are OLD, SHABBY, and NASTY. The appliances are OUTDATED. The walls ARE NOT freshly painted or even cleaned.

The neighbors are NOISY, NOISY, NOISY.

The gate is only guarded at night and by showing a simple ID once thru the gate non-residents just wonder around the property wherever they wish and NO ONE -- NOT the Guard or Paradigm Management or it's Employees CHECK TO SEE if these non-residents are going to be exactly where they say they are going to be on the property at any given time!!!

IT IS A PARTY PLACE 24/7 WITH WAY TO MUCH NOISE. It DOES NOT offer a good study atmosphere for the SERIOUS STUDENT.

There is definitely NOT ENOUGH PARKING... many times NOT EVEN ENOUGH SPACE to park ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR OWN APARTMENT.

I would not recommend leasing at THE LAURELS or at ANY PARADIGM PROPERTIES as word of mouth from other residents soon got back to me about their own dissatisfaction with the POOR MANAGEMENT and POORLY MAINTAINED properties PARDIGM owns and operates, advertising as great places to live.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!
