Apartment Review for Melrose Apartments - Gainesville, FL

When you drive by Melrose on 62nd Blvd, it looks like one of the top student apartment complexes. Wrong. After going through a seemingly easy sign up process, everything else falls apart. The facilities are being repainted, but don't get too excited. The insides are still dirty and poorly maintained. The showers choose what temperature they want to keep the water at, so you will get burned from time to time. The toilets are made for 5 year olds, so good luck trying to fit everything inside. The internet is somewhat fast, but limited. After transferring more than a specified amount, you are cut at the neck. Don't try taking webclasses, or else you'll exceed this limit. The pool is nice, however. The gym is well kept for the mostpart. Maintenance staff arrives the same day, usually. It's a totally different story if they could ever fix things on the first visit. Let's just say they like to take their time. Tennis courts are present. Better than most apartment complexes, but not the best.
