Apartment Review for Melrose Apartments - Gainesville, FL

If you plan on enjoying your stay in Gainesville I would highly reccommend not even looking at Melrose. Although it is cheap, there is a reason for that. The gates never work, there have been more that numerous car break-ins. One night 7 cars were robbed while I stayed there in 2002. Most of the people that work there are very unproffesional and although they are nice they will not take care of the problems you have. They state they do not allow pets, but a quick look around and you can see they turn a blind eye to it. Most of the people who work there live there for free so that is the extent of how they seem to look at there job. Melrose used to be the premier spot ,but time, age and mismanagement has put it drastically on the bottom of the list. Within the last few years there have been many more newer, more proffesional, and larger apt. complexes built in town that are as inexpensive or less that would suit anyones neeeds more than Melrose.
